back story

in 2010 i started a photography & poetry blog entitled, pictures & poets. 10 years later i am dedicating all my writing to my dad, here. this is my place to honor my creative, earthly father and heavenly father who whispers words of significance to my heart , daily.

in one day. everything can change. one year ago today, on june 8th, i lost my dad to suicide. poetry has been a passion and creative outlet for me since i was a little girl. my favorite memory with my dad was driving in old stick shift mercedes, wrapped in salt water fresh from the bay, smiling with my teeth and head fully out the window. the sun was shining. the air was cool. he was happy. i love picturing him happy. while you’re here…i hope these pictures and poems speak, gently, to your soul. making you feel happy. alive. connected. and cared for.

in 2019 / 2020 i wrote a lot. purple fog is a collection of poems written over this last year; grief is like a wicked tempter and the calmest sea. a complex process that is profoundly individual, sacred and spiritual. i hope to shed sweet light on how pain can transform your inner & outer life. how gods rhythms and grace are richly active in rough waters and life after death exists.
